House C.A.A.G. is the home of Dimitri
and Alice. We are two lovers hoping to
improve our lives and the world one acre at a time. In late 2008 we sought a home that we could share together that also had a plot of land on which we could live and explore the first few steps of sustainable living. This seemingly disseminated skill of living off of the land is one of the best ways to celebrate and respect the Mother Earth and live in harmony with her; something that has been lost among the millions living in city condos and cookie-cutter urban sprawls. During our search we focused on property that would allow for agricultural and also small livestock pursuits on the land. Therefore, one of our prerequisites for a home was that we had to be allowed to raise “Chickens And A Goat” on the property. All property owners that we contacted before settling here were asked the “Chickens And A Goat” question, and from that sprouted our house name, House C.A.A.G. We found this particular home and moved in at the turn of the year, 2009. The property and its adjoining lot total 9.29 acres and are owned by Jeff and Cynthia Pruett. We are currently renting the property and perhaps one day we may be able to purchase it. Update Oct. 22nd, 2009: The times have brought about the inevitable changes of life. The Pruetts have decided to hold on to their beautiful home for a little longer and we are moving on to other things. We never did get a chicken, nor a goat, but we were able to bring Love and TLC to the house and the land, and it Loved us back. The home is up for rent, again, and is ready for the next bunch of loving tenants.
